Sarcastically speaking, Iowa is welcoming

Turns out I've been duped by the Iowa Republican lawmakers!

Just when I thought Gov. Kim Reynolds and company were doing everything they could to put forth a reactionary take-us-back-to-the-50s agenda, it turns out the National Gay Pilots Association has chosen Cedar Rapids for a fly-in! Imagine my embarrassment at not initially seeing the true GOP plan, the elegant wisdom of the Republicans in charge. I can only marvel at the dedication of these elected officials to the long game, their ability to attract such communities.

Next time, I'll look beyond the perceived pettiness of the laws they are enacting and know that it's all part of a well-considered and beneficial plan.
