Same-sex marriage not an important issue
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jan. 12, 2010 11:49 pm
The Gazette reported Jan. 9 that the issue of same-sex marriage is “off the table” for the 2010 Iowa legislative session. Good. The last thing we need is to get sidetracked by this contentious non-issue when our state faces important issues such as the budget, health care and jobs. Same-sex marriage does not affect anyone negatively except in their own imaginations.
The idea that anyone would want to take away someone else's marriage is mind-boggling.
