Same amount of trash now costs people more

While the Garby apparently has been convenient for the city, it becomes problematic for residents who find an orange sticker attached to their can on pickup day stating: “Garbage over top of cart - Lid MUST be able to close completely.”
This is particularly frustrating considering there is no language on the Garby itself that lists this requirement.
We could fit at least 25 percent more garbage into our old trash can before the switch to the taller, slimmer Garby - why should I have to pay $1.50 to tag a single bag of “extra” trash that was barely “over the top of the cart,” when the same amount of waste would have easily fit in the old can?
