Salvation Army teens made woman’s day
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jan. 6, 2011 3:51 pm
One day before Christmas, my husband and I stopped at the Wilson Avenue Hy-Vee for coffee. Next to the Salvation Army kettle were three teenage girls ringing the bell and singing a Christmas carol with cheerful voices. What a joy to see and hear them.
Thank you girls, whoever you are, for making my day so cheery.
