Safe driving makes streets safer

To the editor:
I'm for the Interstate 380 cameras, but they are limited in what they can do for safety. Carmakers brag over all the new 'safer” cars - with bad air bags. They have park themselves and drive themselves and GPS and can make phone calls, dial the radio up and even show movies and connect to computers.
I don't see how all this makes cars better and more safe. I still see tailgating, lane jogging in and out and I guess these new cars don't have turn signals or their owners are too busy online to use them.
Brakes, turn signal use and good riving practices are safe. Not just speeding is a danger. The new connected, phone talking, texting, tweeting modern drivers pose a real danger. Driving is a full-time job.
