Romney endorsement hurts Ernst

I could not help but chuckle at the irony of super patriot Mitt Romney's endorsement of Republican candidate Joni Ernst. On the one hand you have the pistol-packing mama with
extreme knife-wielding skills and a veteran of combat asking for and receiving the endorsement of an individual who chose to serve in Paris rather then serve with his contemporaries in Vietnam.
While giving public support to the war effort there when it came time to put his money where his mouth was, young Romney opted for duty in war-torn Paris. The fact that the war in Paris had ended 20 years before his 'heroic” service there did not register with young Mittens.
Why a political candidate such as Ernst would desire the endorsement of Romney is beyond my comprehension.
