Rogers leads by seeking solutions

I am a lifelong Republican who is writing to support a lifelong Democrat, Ben Rogers, for Linn County Supervisor. I support Ben because experience, commitment and integrity transcends political party lines.

Ben has led the county during his tenure as a supervisor in fiscal responsibility, ensuring a balanced county budget. He understands the importance and works for deliberate economic growth, recognizing that growth is not necessarily a good thing unless the growth is directed in such a way that it improves the well-being of all citizens of Linn County.

Ben has taken on some of the most difficult problems of local government with a solution- oriented approach, including dealing with providing critical services for people with mental health and disabilities in our community. When you talk with Ben, it becomes very clear that he is passionate about all the people he serves. Leaders like Ben are why living in Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas of the county remains a popular life choice for the young and old alike.
