Roberts will help unite, not divide

It is time for fresh, new leadership in Iowa, and Rod Roberts is the right man for governor. For nearly a decade, I have worked in the Iowa House of Representatives, and have seen first hand that Roberts is a true statesman. He is an advocate for all Iowans. He stands up against inflated and piecemeal budgets.
Equally important, Roberts understands how state government works, and that the office of governor is not a dictatorship with free reign. As governor, Roberts will respect the office and the people, having often cited Article 1 of the Constitution of Iowa that “All political power is inherent in the people.”
As a future teacher, I am impressed with Roberts' stance on education. He promises to work to make sure our children in Iowa receive a world-class education. Also, he has experience as a member of Carroll Community School District school board and understands the operation of a public school.
Five times, Roberts has been elected to an Iowa House district with more registered Democrats than Republicans - he is a uniter, not a divider, which is imperative in these polarizing times. Please vote for him in the Republican primary election Tuesday.
