Rich attacked by unions are helping economy

Kudos to former Gov. Chet Culver! He vetoed the union-backed “Fair Share” bill passed by the former Democrat-controlled Iowa Legislature. Had he signed the bill into law, government employees would have been forced to pay union dues even if they chose not to belong to a union. Culver's rationale for such action was his acknowledgment that thousands of Iowans opposed such slight-of-hand in our right-to-work state.
Under the guise of worker “rights,” unions drain hard-earned taxpayer cash from government coffers. That cash is used to elect Democrat politicians who reciprocate by passing laws favorable to unions. It should be noted that the majority of cities and states that are bankrupt were controlled by the Democratic Party.
Union leaders preach their sermons of attacking the rich businesses. Yet, they will not admit such entities provide the jobs that feed the economy while union parasites drain the lifeblood from the economy. They will tell their subjects it is the corporations who outsource jobs, but refuse to explain their own contribution to this job-losing economic tragedy. One also should note corporations are not free of fault.
Union members: Shun your “screw the rich” attitude. At one time, management abused the worker. Today, the union abuses our nation.
