‘Rhapsody on Ice’ a delightful event
The Gazette Opinion Staff

On Dec. 1, my family had the good fortune to enjoy the Christmas events at NewBo Market, the Cherry Building and the Czech museum. After watching the Fire and Ice parade, our evening was capped with a wonderful performance of Eastern Iowa Figure Skating Club's show, “Rhapsody on Ice.”
For a more than reasonable admission price, we heard the Coe College Concert and Jazz Band accompany the wonderful performance of the skaters. The vocalists, Josh Jung, Tina Monroe, Craig Boche, Leah Leduc, Angela Meisterling-Billman and Stephan Brandt, were outstanding as they sang standards and show tunes. The quality of the skating and choreography were delightful and the professionalism of the local skaters, as well as the champions Tim LeDuc and DeeDee Leng, was exceptional. There were too many outstanding skaters to name them all. The director, Amy Blades, deserves praise for the excellent show. Thank you to all who participated in this event for the delightful evening.
