Revolution veterans made Iowa home

Thanks for the great article “Nathan Brown: Springville's Revolutionary War connection,” published March 23.
It may surprise some Iowans, but at least 41 veterans of the war chose Iowa as their final home, even though it was more than 60 years after the end of the war and the journey west must have been difficult at best.
The last discovered and documented finding of a grave of a Revolutionary War veteran was as recent as last year in Lee County.
