Return to free market system
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Only in Washington, D.C. can an organization fail as miserably as Kathleen Sebelius' Health and Human Services and not face any consequences. The $678 million of your money for a broken website and broken promises, and I seriously doubt that one entrenched career bureaucrat will be held accountable as Obamacare unravels.
If we truly care about lowering costs and increasing availability to health care, the United States must return to the miracle of the free market system. Free enterprise, not government, has given Americans the highest standard of living in the world.
Let employers and employees find the best plan that fits them by purchasing insurance across state lines. Eliminate mandates written by lobbyists that force us to pay for services we don't use. Encourage families to save for health care expenses with pretax dollars by easing restrictions on health savings accounts. Bring down costs by curbing out-of-control medical malpractice suits. In short, allow the free market to work.
