Return music fest to historic site

I have been hearing from Linn County Blues Society members that Brucemore has canceled one of this city's great events, the 'Bluesmore” music festival, after 20 great years.

I am seriously disappointed in the management of Brucemore for letting this event end. Twenty years of fun and music on the lawn at Brucemore. How sad to see that end.

Every year the event draws thousands of people from many miles around the city and beyond for a day in the warm sun on the Brucemore lawn. How can that be a bad thing?

I hope that the Brucemore director and staff will take a second look at this decision and change their minds for 'Bluesmore 2015.”

Please join me and let your opinions be known about losing this music festival at Cedar Rapids' great historic Brucemore site.
