Republicans should follow geese’s example

“United we stand ... or divided we fall” was spoken as a rallying call to New Englanders to join hands in fighting the British for independence. It is quite likely that had half the New Englanders fought with the British, independence would not have been secured.
Politically, we seem to be in that mode today. It seems that people of the Republican “label” are mainly interested in doing everything possible to cause the Democratic administration to fail, regardless of whether it benefits them. Any team, be it athletic or otherwise, would not be successful if half of its members did their best to promote the defeat of their team.
In nature, a good example of collaboration, harmony and compassion are geese. They fly in a “V” formation because they are able to fly farther, with less effort, because they break the wind for those in the V behind the “leader.” It is also important to note that the flock changes leaders every several hours, and the flock honks encouragement to every leader.
Should any one goose need to land due to illness or injury, two other companion geese will land with it.
They stay with their mate until it can fly again or it dies.
Can you imagine how much more we could accomplish if we and our leaders would behave like the geese do?
