Republicans not listening to Obama
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Feb. 6, 2010 11:13 pm
Well folks, there it was, a passionate, no-nonsense (State of the Union) address from our young, inspiring president to a full house. One side of it definitely awake, with a pulse, listening and responding. Did you take a reading of the other side? I have never seen such a display of insolence, disrespect and boorish behavior in my life. No wonder the engine in D.C. is not producing, the Republicans are just not listening.
Then came the rebuttal which wasn't a rebuttal at all. That speech was undoubtedly written before the president's address. Did you notice how many things Obama had said that were repeated but with credit given as a Republican idea, as if Obama wasn't ever there? Do those folks even acknowledge that we have a president?
May God bless the young man who undauntedly faces these Republicans every day.
