Republicans need to back their claims

The Senate passed the health care overhaul bill, 60 to 39. Even though not a single Republican voted for it, I agree with Senate Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid, who said, “I don't see this as 60 Democrats versus 40 Republicans, I see it as 60 leaders who stood up to insurance companies and stood up for working families all across America.”
The bill isn't perfect, but it's pretty good. President Barack Obama did the best he could, considering he faces a Republican wing of Congress that would filibuster his order from Papa Murphy's pizza.
How can we take the Republicans seriously if they refuse to offer serious arguments? The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office says the health care bill will lower insurance premiums, but the Republicans say it will raise them. The CBO says the bill will lower the deficit, but the Republicans say it will raise it. The CBO says it will extend the life of Medicare, but Republicans say it will destroy it.
We know from debates over climate change and evolution that Republicans don't believe in science, and it appears they don't believe in accounting, either.
