Republicans misplace priorities

U.S. Rep. Bruce Braley is the best choice to be Iowa's next senator. He has worked hard to help veterans and for all Iowans. But what good does it do when the majority Republicans in control of the House as the party of no vote against everything. John Boehner won't even bring bills to the floor because he is so scared of the Tea Party. Their rejection of Eric Cantor showed how radical they've become. How can one member get anything done when the Republicans in the House vote against everything that would help America?
Joni Ernst is a Tea Party Republican and her endorsement by half-term governor Sarah Palin says a lot about her radical plans.
The GOP is spending more on multiple Benghazi investigations than on the Committee on Veterans' Affairs. What a waste of our tax money and evidence of their misplaced priorities.
Ernst wants to undo Social Security as we know it now, which would hurt seniors like me who need it to survive. I get so sick of the GOP calling Social Security and Medicare 'entitlements.” We or our spouse paid into it as a retirement fund and I pay for Medicare out of my Social Security check. They are earned benefits, not entitlements.
I tell my friends if the GOP undoes Social Security I am going to have to move in with one of the rich Republicans who dismantled it. You think Chuck Grassley or Paul Ryan would make room?
