Republicans lying about health reform
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Aug. 13, 2009 12:03 am
Republicans aren't even trying to make an honest case against the plans for health care reform. They're just flat-out lying about what's being proposed, like claiming President Barack Obama wants to kill our grandparents. They've become political terrorists, willing to say or do anything to scare the public and stop discussion on this serious issue.
Maybe Democrats should try lying right back. They could say, “Did you know that insurance companies have the right to put you in shackles and force you to eat squid? And they can kidnap your pets and send them to new owners in China? We need health care reform to outlaw those insidious practices!”
Hey, it might work. The Republican lies seem to be working with some people out there.
