Republican letter writers are ‘traitors’

To the editor:
Recently, 47 Republican Senators signed a letter sent to the government of Iran attempting to derail the Obama administration's negotiations with Iran regarding the prevention of their obtaining nuclear weapons.
I am inclined to agree with the front page headline of the New York Daily News referring to the 47 as 'traitors.” Not surprisingly, the seven remaining Republican senators do not include our longtime Sen. Chuck Grassley, who was Tea Party before Tea Party was cool, and Sen. Joni Ernst, the latest Iowa contribution to Tea Party wing of the Senate.
