Republican debates stray from reality

I have been watching too many Republican debates and left wondering if fact is fiction and vice versa.
With Republican-presidential wannabes cuttin' loose with attacks all over the place, regularly circling the firing squad and plugging away at each other, will they plug in the backside this gay Republican Arizona sheriff who came out of the closet? We might yell at the sheriff to duck, but I guess you don't publicly say that to a man in his position.
Meanwhile, back here in what remains of realty, the rest of us need real progress of the magnitude of President Theodore Roosevelt's Square Deal, FDR's New Deal and Harry Truman's Fair Deal. It is time to work and put people to work building the national infrastructure to take the nation totally electric from renewable energy and link the nation with low-cost, electric-powered high speed and light rail.
Now is this generation of American's rendezvous with destiny:
“There is a mysterious cycle in human events. To some generations much is given. Of other generations much is expected. This generation of Americans has a rendezvous with destiny.” ~ President Franklin D. Roosevelt, 1936 Democratic National Convention.
