Republican budget hassling could create financial crisis

I hope Iowans are paying attention to the standoff regarding the U.S. debt ceiling. With pompous theater, the Republicans in Congress are working to create a financial crisis that could well destroy the livelihoods of millions of Americans, simply so they can stay in power. The people be damned.
Contact your representative in Congress and tell them that their foolishness has to stop, that they raise the debt ceiling, and that they sit down at the table and negotiate a budget for the new year.
