Remove economic embargoes to Cuba

To the editor:
In 1960 the United States imposed strict commercial, economic and financial embargoes on Cuba because it was communist. The embargo has been fine-tuned a number of times and gotten more severe.
The United States is the only major country that has placed such an embargo against Cuba. Other countries still send cruise ships to Cuba and business and trade still goes on. Some American tour agencies and companies send tourists and have trade with Cuba. Doesn't this make the embargo appear pointless?
Each year since 1992, the U.N. General Assembly has passed a resolution condemning the embargo and declaring it to be in violation of the Charter of the United Nations and international law. Most other countries around the world agree.
Let's stop this nonsense and remove the commercial, economic and financial embargoes the United States has placed on Cuba. Contact your representatives and senators and tell them to remove all of the embargoes.
