Remembering Grassley’s true legacy

It's baffling, but shouldn't be surprising, the propaganda that is emerging as Chuck Grassley's time on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee comes to a close.
Missing from Drew Klein and Mark Lucas's guest column ('Grassley leaves a legacy worth emulating,” Dec. 31) is Grassley blocking the nomination of Merrick Garland. While Republicans rejoiced and now write letters in praise of his legacy, it was an unprecedented move that lays utter waste to Grassley's narrative as a champion of bipartisanship, oversight and accountability.
The only legacy Grassley leaves is one of party ahead of country, reaching across the aisle only when he wouldn't be damaged politically.
