Remember heartbeat bill when you vote

Gov. Kim Reynolds recently signed Senate File 359, a law that bans abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected.
How many women will be forced back into back street operations? This is turning the clock back on health. How many men pushed for this? This is another form of men harassing women. This in the year of #MeToo!
Who will feed, educate and clothe the children who are born to parents who cannot afford them? The state? I think not.
No one thinks that abortion is the desirable solution, but there are times when it is the best solution. Women are the ones who should be making that decision, not the state.
There are many things to make decisions about in this world - tax increases for the wealthy at the expense of services, Iran, North Korea and climate change. Iowa has stepped backward.
The best we can do is to inform ourselves on the choices we have and to vote for a new Legislature for 2019.
