Recent weather was not a top story

It almost strains the bounds or credulity that in a world of eight billion people; and with all that is going on in Washington, D.C.; Ukraine, Gaza; along with the complicated 2024 political landscape; the most important event that took place in on planet earth on Jan. 12, according to the front page of The Gazette, was that it snowed in Cedar Rapids and the surrounding area.
