Recent news proves judicial bias exists

The March 21 edition of The Gazette had a national news story that displays judicial overreach - the kind recent guest writers claim does not exist.

A federal judge blocked oil drilling in Wyoming 'because the government failed to adequately consider its impact on global warming.” Climate change and the continued use of fossil fuels are certainly legitimate issues to debate. That debate needs to occur in our legislative branches, not the judiciary. The judge in this case interjected his personal views on an issue, rather than interpret statutes and the Constitution.

Unfortunately, we can find many examples of courts straying from their proper role. It's something to remember when pundits proclaim we have no problems with activist judges.
