To the editor:
I was going north on Interstate 380 through Hiawatha on a Friday night at 9:30 p.m. under Boyson Road. I was going past the Boyson on-ramp to I-380 with two cars around me. A car on the on-ramp must go to 60 mph to join traffic on I-380.
A police car pulls me over. The cop tells me I was doing 70 in a 60 zone. I am stopped 300 feet from the 70 mph road sign. I cannot believe I am getting a ticket for going 70 in a 60 mph 300 feet from the 70 mph sign.
I told my brother about it, he says that this has been going on for years. People complained to Hiawatha City Council about it, but it did no good.
