Receive a speeding ticket, pay the fine

To the editor:
OK, this is it. Let's cut to the chase here. I'm talking about the S-curve and the speed cameras. I lost a family member and several friends to auto crashes. When the police show up at your door to tell you what happened, it won't be a good day.
I received two speeding tickets on the S-curve and, of course, I didn't want to pay the fines, but I did.
Let me tell you what a friend said to me a few days later. 'If your doctor discovers you have high blood pressure, are you going to get mad at your doctor? Of course not, you will be glad they found it in time. Well, speeding is like high blood pressure, it doesn't kill you, until it does.”
If you get a speeding ticket, pay the fine, start driving the speed limit, and be thankful something much worse didn't happen.
