‘Real ID’ is wrapped up in red tape

Gazette writer Adam Sullivan stated in the Oct. 3, 2019 edition of The Gazette, 'Iowans encouraged to upgrade to ‘Real ID,' which is real dumb.” I totally agree.
The last sentence is what hit home for me: 'Rather than stopping criminals, it will make suspects out of all Americans.”
This is already the trend of our society, Americans are given more rules, more discipline and less freedom. Our courthouses where we are searched before entering is one example.
Also, we are told that our IDs will have to have a gold start to enter all federal buildings anywhere. How much time and red tame it takes to get a gold star on our IDs remains to be seen.
These Real IDs and gold stars are a clear path to dividing our people even more, making it easier to demean the 'bad people.”
