Reader wears MAGA hat with pride

It's time for Congress to lay down their arms in their ever-present political posturing skirmishes. Why not expend their energies instead applying common sense, reasoning, honest debate, and presenting and passing practical solutions to our problems? Isn't that what they were elected for?

America has plenty of problems today, but Donald Trump is not one of them. Democrats and their position-taking are one of the problems. It's painfully obvious they espouse the exact opposite of what most Americans want or believe is right. Current Democratic positions on socialism ideas of free health care and free college education, full-term abortions, denial of protected borders, higher taxes, sanctuary cities and states, and most recently, the New Green Deal.

Come to your own conclusions and forget your previous allegiances unless you agree with them. Are you still proud of the party that you voted for? Is this really what you want to continue to support with your vote in 2020? Either you want to help make America great again or just keep dutifully following the same old party line. Take your pick. Take a stand or take a knee.

While Capitol Hill dillydallies, President Trump is focused and acting on solutions to America's real problems. I wear my MAGA hat more often these days. I know where I stand, where the president stands, and what America has always stood for, and those things most Americans once stood against.
