To the editor:
Thinking of the parents of U.S. Army veteran Peter Kassig, brutally murdered by Jihadists in Syria. This boy will not be coming home again. Remember seeing him peddling up the walk on his tricycle? Remember him coming home as a teenager proudly holding his first paycheck? Remember him as a College Joe after his first five minutes on the gridiron? Remember him coming up the drive in uniform, on leave before being shipped overseas? Remember him coming home, uninjured when the war ended?
So, when this unarmed aid worker is beheaded in Africa, I would not fault our commander-in-chief for standing up for America with 'boots on the ground” now.
