Reader grateful for kindness of strangers

This afternoon I had a remarkable experience. I made a quick trip to the First Avenue Hy-Vee, parked, dashed in to pick up a few things, and came out of the store only to find I didn't have my car keys.
I was making a mad search of pockets, purse and ground when I heard someone call out. I looked and saw a man in a parked car, dangling my keys! He said he'd seen me drop them, but was afraid he'd miss me in the store. So, he waited until I came back out (probably five to 10 minutes) to make sure.
How many people would have even picked them up? Or worse, how many would have used them to access my car?
I was so grateful that I neglected to get the man's name, but I send him huge thanks and blessings for such a kind and caring act. This is one old lady (87) who will always be grateful for the kindness of strangers.
Thank you for looking out for me.
