Reader finds editorial cartoons disturbing

To the editor:
Recent anti-police cartoons published in the Letters to the Editor section of The Gazette have disturbed me. I challenge The Gazette to print the entire Jan. 2 New York Post article 'Myth of Cop Killing Epidemic” by Michael Walsh.
Walsh presents a balanced and informed discourse that invites discussion rather than, in his words, 'poisoning relations between local police and the folks they serve”, as these cartoons do.
I urge other readers, who would also prefer that you use this newspaper responsibly to promote reconciliation rather than spur division, to write or call you.
