Re-elect Vernon for experience, passion

I support Monica Vernon for District 2 city council. Monica has been involved on city commissions and has the best understanding of the city's needs and operation.

Her current council experience is of value that she will not have to learn on the job.

I value her business ownership. She has created jobs, made payroll and interfaced with the challenges of red tape and been successful.

Monica looks at the past, knows the current and has a vision of making Cedar Rapids a better place to do business.

I was on the opposite side of a major city issue a few years ago and learned how passionate she is for making this a better city. Even though we did not agree, my respect for her was built as she thoughtfully worked to obtain her goal.

I have found Monica and the rest of the current council to be responsive to my questions.

We have a wonderful opportunity to continue to build this form of government with the re-election of Monica.
