I am happy to endorse, once again, Mike Carberry for re-election to the Board of Supervisors. I have known him as a supportive neighbor, an advocate for clean, green energy and as an effective, progressive leader.
Many years ago, he was one of my first neighbors to join in to create a neighborhood group and later advocated for a piece of land that now is a park where neighbors have small garden plots.
He genuinely cares about sustainably managing the resources of our county so that future generations can enjoy the benefits of living in a place that balances the needs of its urban center with limiting its sprawl to our rural areas so that the quality of living can be good for everyone. He and his fellow supervisors raised the minimum wage in our county. He encourages smart growth and preservation through planning and currently serves as the chairman of the Board of Supervisors.
He has supported services for the aged, the homeless and people with special needs.
He is a genuinely good-hearted person who gets things done, and it pleases me to see how he continues to grow as a leader of our great county.
Please join me in re-electing Carberry.
