The upcoming school board election is so important for our community and our kids, and I can think of no one better than Jennifer Borcherding to cast my vote for. Even before being elected to the school board, she had been active in our schools and community through volunteering and serving in leadership positions in the PTA as well as working as a paraprofessional at Johnson Steam Academy.
Jennifer listens to all parties regarding the issues that our school district faces and balances the needs of all stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, and community at large by listening and considering all the data before making an informed decision. She is not afraid to delve into any education issue facing our district, including graduation rates, student achievement, equity or any other topic presented to her.
Jennifer was involved in the hiring of Superintendent Noreen Bush. She supports a pause in the facilities master plan to evaluate the efficacy and reassess demographics and the need based on the condition of the current buildings. She understands the need for career and technical education in high school to provide our community with a skilled workforce. She has consistently pushed for increases in staff pay. She encourages collaborative partnerships with local organizations.
Jennifer Borcherding is the best choice for our community, our schools and our children. I encourage you to cast your vote for Jennifer Borcherding.
