Radical statements sign of things to come?

It is absolutely unbelievable that so many of the same people decrying “socialized medicine” are themselves recipients of the single-payer Medicare system. Either they are the ultimate cynics (i.e., they know they are lying but don't care) or the ultimate fools.
The radicalization of the GOP has been breathtaking and shows that one of two things is happening in this country: Either the right is in its death throes, and will become increasingly radical and irrelevant as it makes a last gasp, or the political system will seize up because of an inability to get anything done.
If that occurs, it's anyone's guess what will happen but it could lead to a catastrophic systemic meltdown.
