Qualified leadership is essential

No political party has all the good candidates or all the bad candidates.
I make my choices on the personal values and judgment of the candidates and their ability to make good decisions based on accurate and unbiased facts. Qualifications and experience are more important than gender, race or first anything.
In the Iowa Senate race for Tom Harkin's seat, I like Joni Ernst over Bruce Braley because of her background and experience.
I trust a mother of three children, military soldier and Iowa farm family wife more than a lawyer. And I trust her judgment more than any attorney.
I like Terry Branstad for governor of Iowa because he has been the best governor for 20 years. He is honest, works hard and is the most qualified.
When it comes to our next president, I support Dr. Ben Carson. He is a renowned retired neurosurgeon who has lived the American dream. People trust him with their lives because he is not political. He is one of us who loves America and Americans and can unite us in greatness.
As a doctor, he is qualified to fix Obamacare by replacing the government with medical professionals dealing with patients. As a Washington, D.C., outsider, he sees the waste, fraud and abuse of big government and the need for a new doctrine of 'America & Americans First.”
The next two elections are the most important. Much bigger than free birth control or the first female president.
We need a qualified leader.
