Put Mallard Fillmore on opinion page

To the editor:
Thank you, Terry Ebaugh, for your well written letter expressing your disappointment in The Gazette for eliminating Mallard Fillmore comic strip from the paper ('Reader misses Mallard Fillmore,” April 7). My sentiments exactly.
First of all, I don't believe the anti-Mallard letter writers expressed the feelings of the majority of Gazette readers and, secondly, no one was forcing them to read it. To take the satirical strip away from all readers was cowardly on The Gazette's part and I feel also takes away freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Move it to the editorial page if you must, but don't discontinue it. Boo. Hiss. Bad decision on The Gazette's part. Very disappointing. Are Ebaugh and I the only ones who are missing Mallard?
