Put an end to animal abuse

To the editor:
I am writing to have a voice for animals. They cannot speak; however, they do have feelings.
Not one animal asked to be born or to live in tiny filthy cages or to give birth every time they come into heat or have not adequate food, water, shelter and matted fur that hurts and causes sores.
Please make Iowa have stricter laws for the animals that endure this pain, sometimes all of their lives. Please have a voice and put an end to animal abuse. The animals will thank you and so will the overcrowded shelters and all the people who care about the animals.
