Pugh will work toward efficient government
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Oct. 4, 2009 12:18 am
I am a firm believer in the wisdom of Thomas Jefferson, who said that government is best that governs least. I'm sure when he said it he also meant taxes least, too, which is why I am supporting Tim Pugh, candidate for city council in District 1.
Tim is a native Cedar Rapidian and small business owner. He stands for transparency and accountability. He would act to see that our tax dollars go to where they are most needed, not just to those who are politically connected. As a small business owner, he knows the value of a hard-earned dollar and won't be afraid to rock the boat to ensure greater efficiency in our city's government.
“Our eye must always be on the goal of making Cedar Rapids the best city to run a business and raise a family in.” - Tim Pugh
I urge all voters to visit his page at www.timpugh.org and vote for him on Nov. 3.
