Public funds are for public schools

I have no problem with private or parochial schools. But, I do have a problem with tax moneys that are raised for support of public schools suddenly being shifted to schools that are paid for by tuition from parents. It is entirely their choice to send their students to private schools, instead of public schools.
Gov. Kim Reynolds better be very careful siphoning off public funds unless she wants a complete uprising of the 35,535 public school teachers in Iowa. Most have very long memories! We are having a very difficult time hiring and retaining new teachers anyway.
