Proud to have been a part of ‘Amy’s Army’

I wrote in May 2017 to share my joy from attending my first Honor Flight reception. Today I write to share another great first in my life.
On Oct. 7, I was honored to be a member of 'Amy's Army” participating in the Especially for You race in downtown Cedar Rapids. Even the cold rainy day could not dampen the spirit of these survivors and their support groups.
Thanks to all who helped in any way to make this a great success, with a special shout out to General Mills for keeping the vision of Sandy Knight moving forward. Lastly, I thank my niece Amy for including us on her team. She is a beautiful, vibrant survivor!
