Protect, cherish all human life

To the editor:
A bill to provide medical care for infants born alive after a late-term abortion was voted on by the House of Representatives. Rep. David Loebsack joined 177 fellow Democrats and voted against providing that care.
Infants born at 20 weeks gestation are routinely taken to neonatal intensive care units where they are cared for and often thrive and grow up as normal children.
Perhaps if this involved a lion or a puppy, the media and popular culture might find this appalling. We have to start cherishing and protecting all human life or I think we are doomed.
Please consider Loebsack's vote on this when he asks for your vote in the next election.
