Prosser listened to our animal concerns

Thank you to Jim Prosser for all of his hours of hard work as city manager since he arrived in Cedar Rapids in 2006.
Prosser was the first person in city government who listened to those of us concerned about the city's animal control facilities. He asked for statistics, and after reading those, he investigated the animal control facilities in other areas of Eastern Iowa.
Within two weeks, we were given permission to begin a volunteer program to help the animals, and the staff, at the animal shelter. Because of his willingness to help, the facilities for stray, lost and abandoned animals were greatly enriched by the volunteer program now in place at the Cedar Rapids animal shelter.
Thank you, Prosser, and may God bless you for all you have done for our city, humans and animals.
