Property taxes go up anyway

Not raising property tax? That's a laugh. This next round (of local-option sales tax) took a tremendous leap. I'm not saddling my kids and grandkids with paying additional sales tax for the next 20 years.
Knock it down to five years. If the City Council keeps its word, renew it for another five years, and again every five years until in the end they get their 20 years. It will control their foolish spending.
As I see it, my vote is no for a 20-year sales tax.
