Property tax bills should arrive on time

To the editor:
In Linn County we get charged extra if our property tax payment is late.
When county employees, who we pay through our taxes, do not do their jobs in sending property tax bills out on time, we should get a certain amount off our tax bills. Maybe they would start sending the bills on time.
If I did not do my job right - especially over and over - I would not get a raise and would possibly be fired in the private sector. The bills I've finally gotten are later and later each year.
We would like to know how much our bill will be ahead of time, not two weeks after it is officially due.
