Projects in CR schools bond proposal won’t address root issues

I strongly believe that the public should reconsider voting for the new school bond proposal. As a concerned parent, I have witnessed the challenges our school system faces in maintaining its current infrastructure. The need for improvements has persisted for years, and simply constructing a new, flashy school and providing turf fields for high schools won't address the root issues. Neglected middle school tracks, for example, could greatly benefit the local community with more sensible improvements.
Instead of pursuing costly projects, I propose a more practical approach: Redirect funds from high-paying nonessential positions at the district level toward hiring more teachers and support staff. This would not only enhance education quality but also help control expenses.
Moreover, I raise a valid concern about how teachers, who are already underpaid, will manage to afford the increased property taxes if this bond passes. In an era of rising inflation and stagnant teacher salaries, it's essential to consider the financial strain this may place on educators. Many knowledgeable teachers, who are aware of the challenges we face, are unlikely to support this proposal with a 'yes' vote.
