Progressive playbook: Spend, then attack

Here is the progressive playbook: Propose legislation for a popular program (like airport improvements). Then place the proposal in a massive spending package-like the American Rescue Plan Act, or the infrastructure bill. To gain legislative support, condemn officials who, for reasons of fiscal sanity, refuse to support the huge spending package. And after the bill becomes law, criticize politicians who attend ribbon-cutting ceremonies for projects they support, despite voting against the bloated spending package. See how it works? We should hold big-spending progressives responsible for the inflation that results from government largesse. We should support elected officials who say "enough already."
