Program helps dispose of worn, tattered flags

I couldn't agree more with the March 5 letter from Theresa Nosley, “Weathered flags should be repaired or replaced.”
Flags should be replaced when they become worn and tattered. However, proper and dignified flag disposal
often is a cumbersome task.
For this reason, Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services is partnering for the third year with the Freedom Festival for a fitting retirement ceremony for worn and tattered flags.
Flags may be dropped off at the Freedom Festival office, 609 First Ave SW, or at our Cedar Rapids funeral home, 1844 First Ave NE.
We are proud to partner with the Freedom Festival for this often-overlooked but important duty.
